WAL youth grants assist in lake learning
About youth grants Wisconsin Association of Lakes recognizes that continued clean, safe, healthy lakes for everyone depends on teaching the next generation to be good lake stewards. The Wisconsin Association of Lakes Youth Fund Grant Program assists youth groups seeking financial aid for deserving projects or activities beneficial to both Wisconsin lakes and youth. Grants of up to $500 may be awarded per project per year. 50% of the grant amount requested must be matched by local contributions (this can include volunteer time). Grant awards are based upon availability of funds and project merits. Grant funds come from special contributions made to the Youth Fund by WAL’s individual, organizational, and corporate members, plus proceeds from special fundraiser activities.
