How does DNR use advisory committees?

The Department of Natural Resources uses technical advisory committees (composed of a diverse group of stakeholders) to assist in the creation and review of proposed natural resource administrative rules. Advisory team members offer input and perspectives to help the Department design rules that are both protective of natural resources and satisfactory to often competing interests.
